I enjoy coming upon a wonderful still life already set up and ready to be photographed and then painted. I found this scene in an antique shop and loved the combination of the basket with the lacy shadow and the shiny glass jar with the interesting patinaed metal top. The only thing left for me to do was to photograph from several angles and decide which provided the best composition, then start painting!
